Description

The AVCO 6100 Series knife gate valve has ANSI 150# flange lug connections and meets the requirements of MSS-SP-81 and TAPPI TIS 405-8. The valves are available in sizes from 2” through 24” and come in 316SS, 304SS, cast iron and Hastelloy C. The valves use a unique design which mechanically locks the seat in the valve body using a stainless steel retainer ring. Resilient EPDM and metal seats are most common with Buna, neoprene and Viton seats available upon request. The gates come standard in 316SS and are polished and lapped both sides for improved sealing. The bottom edge of the gates has a machined bevel to cut through solids and provide a tighter seal when closed. Optional V-Port and deflector cones are also available. The valves are supplied with a handwheel assembly that contains a grease nipple for stem lubrication and a protective cover for the stem to prevent against the ingress of dust. Alternatively, full automation kits including pneumatic actuators, solenoids and positioners among others are available. The AVCO 6100 Series knife gate valve is a robust solution for severe conditions in the food & beverage, paper & pulp, chemical or wastewater industries.
